Whether at initial installation commissioning or as scheduled predictive maintenance, our testing protocols are built to meet KAHRAMAA standards and international specifications including IEC, IEEE and NETA.

Technical capability

• Very Low Frequency (VLF) withstand testing — evaluates MV and HV AC cables safely, without the accelerated insulation ageing caused by DC testing
• Partial discharge measurement and mapping — detects localised insulation voids, treeing and termination defects before breakdown occurs
• Tan delta (dissipation factor) analysis — measures overall insulation degradation and moisture ingress across the full cable run
• Insulation resistance and polarisation index — DC megger testing to verify phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground integrity
• DC hi-pot and sheath integrity testing — tests the outer sheath against water ingress and mechanical damage, preventing ground faults later
• Cable route tracing — accurate identification and mapping of buried routes before excavation

Reporting

Test results are issued as technical documentation including baseline data, trend lines against previous results, and clear remediation recommendations. The point is a decision you can act on, not a sheet of numbers.
